San Francisco Giants Rebrand Gear
This showcases something that I am passionate about which I think helps cultivate a new level of skill and possibilities. This work references the 1931 & 1936 New York Giants Baseball club prior to moving to San Francisco in 1958. The design will entail the vintage typeface and logo within different deliverables such as trading card, poster design, baseball gear etc. Seeking to capture the range with a portion of the potential deliverables that baseball clubs utilize in the real world. Emphasizing the branding and color scheme for what could be done to the current branding. Highlighting different mediums and forms that you would expect to see in person. Reconstructing the brand by bringing a design that references the 1936 New York Giants Jersey and is not seen anywhere else. For whatever reason, this branding was dumped and never again to be seen. This is a fresh look in a modern design aspect and interpretation how the jerseys could look. Building off of that creating and system that resonates with the rest of the branding bringing it all together. With the goal to be able to visual communicate the references and different eras of modern day branding versus back then. Playing off the city connect concept, using the Giants namesake for both respective sports baseball and football also. Visual communicating the unification of the city, resonating with those way may already be familiar and those who aren't. As someone who is a fan, this will show a detail of applied colors, typography and elements which best align to the project.
